Thanks for the advice - all very much needed. I don't know the East coast so well, having left Newcastle upon Tyne as a young lad. It's the Lancashire mill towns that I was hoping to work through (see entries on Wigan, Wigan Pier). Now that ich bin ein Londoner, perhaps elements of the psychogeography of this sprawling mass will creep in too .

When I have a free weeekend or two to do some researching and plotting and scheming, I hope to cook up a series of entries on philosophers, and a few other ideas are bubbling around. So much to research, so little time and computer access...

I hope to hear from you again at some point - do check out the Wigan entry if you haven't already. It'd be interesting to get your views on this early effort on the part of PurpleJen and myself.
