hecticness

I have just noticed that according to the "last posted" entry on my user page, I have "elvised".

This isn't actually true. I am just extremely busy at the moment.

I do keep checking my user page to see if anyone has left me any messages, but don't currently have enough spare time to follow lots of threads every night.

improved health and wealth

As some of you know, my website (http://www.xyroth-enterprises.co.uk/ ) started making some money a while back leading to problems with the DSS.

Finally it is making enough that I have maned to move over from income support to working tax credit, and now no longer have to worry about another case of the DSS getting it spectacularly wrong like they did in october.

Also, I seem to finally be recovering a bit from the knock on effects of october's events, so it's all looking positive again.

poor health and lack of replies

Due to poor health this last few weeka, and thus not being online much, I have been unable to keep up with reading the backlog and replying to over 150 threads per night.

Hopefully I will be able to catch up when my health recovers, but there is every chance that I will miss some comments in such a massive amount of backlog.

Real Linux?

Have you got fed up of your linux having incompatible formats and patches applied?

well, so did I. So I decided to do something about it, and have now started the "Real Linux" campaign to try and find out what the different distributions do that makes our lives difficult, and publicise the problems, with the hope of either finding solutions or embarrassing them into finding them.

Your feedback will help.

see http://www.real-linux.co.uk/ for more info, or to help.

a new guitar

it's that time of year again when everyone insists on trying to make a big thing over when you were born, how old you are, and if you are "past it".

well, I decided to treat myself to a new electric guitar, as I finally managed to find one with a thin enough neck.

not too bad actually, a peavey raptor special.

all I've got to do now is learn how to play the blasted thing smiley - silly

anyone got any suggestions of the best stuff to learn?
