A. E. Van Vogt... in French

Hi,

I am just in the middle of re-reading the whole collection of sci-fi books from A. E. Van Vogt...in French.
I read them at school age, then just after my military service, and now again. I find a lot more in it than I originally did. It is also the first time I read his books, after having read what the critics have to say about him. And yes it is true, I do now find flaws and unsettling bits.

Maybe its time for me to start on my own and see how I would fare smiley - winkeye

I toil with the idea of researching and writing a few H2G2 entries on General Semantics, Nexialism, NLP, Linux, Java programming, Standing Meditation, Archeology, Chinese (Mandarin), Arabic, Urdu, Watercolours, wood carving, oil and gas exploration, hydrographic survey, ball pen drawing, visual memory, electric dreams (do C++ coding sheep have...?), etc...

did you realise that the world of null-a single handedly relaunched the french sci-fi book industry?

we could do with articles here bout nexialism and general semantics, and the one about hydrographic surveys sounds interesting as well.

I am not surprised that you find a lot in his books, as he typically writes with multiple levels of meaning, which is no easy thing to do.
