After downloading the latest update, which brings CM01/02 up to date with March this year, I started a new game with East Fife (who I still can't get to win the Champions League). After a season of very, very cheap transferring, I noticed that - purely by accident - I had a midfield 4 consisting of Hogg, Cowe, Bull and Ramm. smiley - biggrin

I've got that March patch now, and I must say I'm enjoying my currenbt game, even though I did get Everton relegated in the first season. Still, I did that with Man U once...

Well, in fairness, David Moyes nearly managed to do that too.

My other game on that March patch is called 'Save The Dons', and is bloody hard!

On the name subject, i just signed Northwich Victoria's Damien Whitehead, and he's playing upfront for the reserves with James McFadden.

McFadden and Whitehead? popular 70s soul duo? sang "ain't No Stopping Us Now"?

I just played an FA Cup game against a Wrexham team partnering Hector Sam with Ryan Semple up front.

That I like. smiley - ok

I've just finished a very odd season with Scunthorpe. Second season of the game, I've been promoted to Division Two. I finish 5th in the Divsion (losing on penalties to Wycombe in the play-off legs), BUT...

In the FA Cup, I beat Birmingham (PRM), Chelsea (PRM) and Leeds (PRM, just) to reach the Semi-Finals.

In the league cup, I beat Stoke (PRM, somehow), Fulham (PRM) and Man U (in two legs, winning the second leg 5-3 in extra-time) to set up a final with Arsenal. Arsenal field a full-strength team and I beat them 2-1. So next season I'll be playing in the Vans Trophy and the UEFA Cup. Bet there's not many teams have done that. smiley - winkeye

I'm having an intriguing everton game

2001/2: relegated, but reach semifinal of UEFA Cup, thanks to the update buttin me in the InterTwoBob. lose to Liverpool in semis of UEFA

2/3: D1, 6th, win playoffs.

3/4: Prem, bottom, make Sunderland last season look good, sell Rooney to Rangers.

4/5: d1, 15th, somehow don't get sacked.

5/6: Move to Kings Dock (capacity 55,000, average crowd 15,000) d1, 6th, win playoff

6/7: Sign Gianluigi Buffon on a bosman. Finish 17th, Buffon loses place to kasper Schmeichel

7/8: Sell Buffon. Sign Stuart Taylor. play Schmeichel, finish eighth and one of my eleven San Marinese players gets in the Prem team of the year

8/9: InterTWoBob again, lose in UEFA Semis to Newcastle, finish 11th, Roberto Ayala gets sent of five times in the season and Julio Arca plays all 58 games.

9/10: Just won through the Intertwobob, into the third round of the UEFA, and first eight league games unbeaten. Lie third in league.

I also got appointed US manager in 2002, qualified for 06 world cup, got sacked before the tournament, then Bob Bradley, my replacement, got sacked after the tournament and I got me job back, andf I've had it ever since.

Oh yeah, and My elft-sided players include Giggs, Solari, Arca and Roberto carlos.

I play this game way too much...

Yeah, I always end up with too many left-siders too.

Sounds about right. I only ever played one game at school level,. for my primary school, in the centre of defence (we failed in our attempt to persuade the teacher to let us play the sweeper system).

We lost 6-1.

In theory, given that Bateson is on the list of random surnames (the Torquay chairman's called Mike Bateson), I could crop up at some point.

Oh, on the random name thing: Morecambe and Northwich have both recently relesed Northern Irish midfielder Ryan-Zico Black. My Nigerian team in 2014 just came up against a Zambian side fdeaturing Ryan-Zico Earnshaw.

Ah. Love that random-name generator.

I recently signed a Nigerian teenager called Jay-Jay Okoronkwo. Hmm...
