I think it's a bit too much colour for Austrians, but when you think of all the colours these people use in their clothes it makes sense for them.

oh wow, that's really a bit much color, but I can see how they may like it

Not long ago I saw pictures of a town somewhere at the sea. The houses were on a hill and someone painted them in a very large pattern which was visible from the sea. Larger patterns than on the buildings in your link obviously. When standing in the streets only small pieces of the whole image would be visible of course but it was still very colorful.
