Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~

Hi smiley - smiley

It has been over two years since I last heard from you and I have often been thinking about you during that time smiley - bigeyes

I am worried. Why did you leave? Are you okay? Or did you just get bored? Or did the house rules offend you? smiley - erm

It seems I can't even e-mail you any longer smiley - erm

This worries me much. Please tell me you are allright, okay?

Love

Hi there Pierce and thank you for stopping by this dusty place. I am back to clean up and perhaps hang around for a bit this time.

My original reason for ignoring the site was the change in management. Not sure how much of that has changed, but it doesn't seem as important now.

And my email is now zmrzlina[AT]beautifulnonsense.com

Now I am off to enjoy a bit more of a rare sunny day. Rain is on its way.

Hugs,
Zmrzlina

Ah, I've been up to this and that. Trying to complete a Master's degree that is still thesis-less and thus no piece of paper in my hand. Took a job at a chain bookstore just because I needed health insurance and because working in a bookstore beats working anyplace else, or so I thought. I am a supervisor now, but I work odd hours and the pay is terrible. Ah well, I get a great discount and a monthly book allowance smiley - smiley And I won't be there forever. Someday I will be doing what I really want.

And are you still logging on from odd computers in basements as I seem to recall was the case oh so long ago?

The trip to Germany...pleasure or business? I've not been to Berlin, but I will someday because there are some interesting UNESCO World Heritage sites I want to add to my list of "been there, seen that."

books, eh? these days - er, make that years - i seldom open one. after reading at w*rk from 6am to 1pm every day i find it hard to read any more smiley - erm oh, well, maybe if i get old enough to quit my job?

the basement was just a temporary abode. usually i log on from my office which is two storyes over ground level. from my windows i can overlook a park with some very tall and beautiful trees. unfortunately i have to pull down blinds most of the time in order to avoid reflections on my screen as they are bad for my eyes.

Berlin was meant to be business (sort of, language school) but turned out to be pleasure (because i already know the german language) even if i had to stay in my hotel for 2.5 days due to a severe cold. i saw the Reichstag, a few museums, a ballet, a play, heard a magnificent concert with the Freiburger Barock Orchester and talked to interesting people.

just say when and i will show you around
