I decided to start blogging, and in all of the long four days that my blog has been up, zero visitors. If any of you hootizens care to visit my blog - its tzjin _at_ blogspot - there's a for you if you're ever in my neck of the woods.

I've been a smoker for over 10 years, and recently gave up the vile weed (for how long - remains to be seen) and was wondering: Have I quit smoking this time?

Given my long history with the plant, the urge to light up remains - in varying degrees during the course of the day. It will probably take just one extremely stressful workday to light up again. After that, it's a slippery slope.

Hence, presuming that all smokers feel the same way (the ones I've spoken to sure do): The phrase "Quit smoking" is a misnomer. It is impossible to know if Sue (just a random name) quit smoking, until she kicks the bucket. So, until I turn in my dinner pail, I can only claim "I last smoked on so and so day."
