Good entry but I think the first section needs to be re-done slightly. There is far too much detail for an introduction but not enough for a plot summary. Divide it into a short summary paragraph, then a Plot section, with more detail on their life in El Dorado and their relation with the high priest.

I had never heard of this film. I thought it was a "The Road to ...." with Bob Hope/Bing Crosby!

Must dash now, though. Will comment in my lunch break.

Thanks both. I've shortened the introduction and added a new section with more detail and I've added more links, too smiley - ok

Yes - I've read the altered version and it seems quite complete.

It's probabably worth mentioning that the gods our two rogues are mistaken for are the Maya Hero Twins Xbalanque and Hunahpu, although these names are not used in the film. The film is very accurate in details of Maya culture: the offerings of gold to Xibalba, the ball game, perhaps even the Chief's cigar.

You should definitely link to A830431 which explains the Hero Twins as well as the ball game.

Ah smiley - eureka Thanks Gnomon - I certainly didn't pick up on those details in the film (although I did read online reviews that mentioned Xibalba, and I wondered how they knew it was spelled like that rather than shivalva) so an extra paragraph in the Entry will be an asset smiley - ok

I have added a paragraph, and also expanded the paragraphs about Chel, as I noticed I hadn't finished them.

smiley - ok

Thanks.

You don't need to mention this, but there's even a scene where Miguel seems to fly through the air and the hair around his head glows like the sun. One of the Hero Twins represented the Sun. I've only just noticed that detail.
