This is a charming entry. smiley - smiley I don't think I knew of Rhodohypoxis butI can see why they are sought-after garden plants. smiley - smiley I don't think they would flourish in my garden, which is heavy clay.

A couple of points:

smiley - biro You have put links to 'Green -Nature's Colour' both on 'Season' and on 'green'

smiley - biro You call Rhodohypoxis milloides 'the tallest of the species' which I found a bit confusing, because I read it as meaning it was a subspecies. Perhaps just 'the tallest species' would be clearer.

Thanks minorvogonpoet smiley - biggrin

Yes, heavy clay is the most challenging soil for them - you could add sand and grit to the planting hole to help with drainage, but if there was a wet winter, the clay around the roots might still cause rot. I'm lucky to to have the right soil for them, more by accident than design!

Well spotted on those two points - now fixed. Not sure why Green appeared instead of the seasonal gardening calendar, but never mind - I found the right link.

smiley - ok
