A very brief note on a television language.
Do NOT suggest this entry include an exhaustive list. I meant to keep it that short, it's an experiment.

An interesting Entry, I am sure I watched at least few episodes of the series, but I never noticed the signs and their unique language.
You remind of a book I read http://www.amazon.com/Old-Harrys-Bunkside-Book-Sleightholme/dp/0229116159 about British working class 'yachtsman'.
In one part he arrives at a French fuel dock and thinks the sign 'Defence de Fumer' (http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/french-english/-d%C3%A9fense-de-fumer) is a political slogan. He decides to ignore the obvious passion of the French people.
A local official runs up screaming and waving his arms when Harry starts to strike his match on the side of the petrol pump so he can light his pipe.

I wonder how many casual viewers, who speak only their own language even have noticed the fake words. If so, that makes this Entry even more appropriate to the Guide.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Wow - this was picked quickly! I read it a few days ago, but didn't get chance to comment...
I really enjoyed the flavour of this Entry, but there were a few bits I wasn't clear about - I haven't seen any Mission: Impossible episodes from start to finish, sadly...
"Barney was chasing rats in the hotel." - who's Barney?
"Installations et Reparations Electroniques: Probably a fictionalised Haiti" - what does this mean? The sign was seen somewhere on a fictionalised Haiti?
I think you use the abbreviation IMF before mentioning it stands for Impossible Missions Force.
"The ne plus ultra of van signs. You would move away immediately." - does this mean you would move away from a van with Emerzenciskija written on it?
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Recommended for the Edited Guide!

Yes, I was sort of assuming that readers would click on (and read) the previously existing Entry on Mission: Impossible.
I can fix those, and I'll do it quickly, before somebody makes an editing copy.
