Although they may be stable I am wondering why they are not receiving any spill-over. Many are not exactly happy with the extravagant life-styles of the ruling monarchy & their dealings with the west; in particular the US bases they had. Although they have ostensibly removed the US troops there is still evidence of US military operations from within S. Arabia as in:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-21350437

Interesting that article talks about joint Saudi-Arabia - US counter-terrorism collaborations.

as interesting as the fact that Wahabbism, what inspires the most radical nuts everywhere is directly related to this country ( there´s also a historical conection with the family Al-Saud which rule the country) and is what most muslims follow there. And not only that, radicals go there to be instructed and, from that country, books/cds etc. are sent everywhere.

But, probably what the Al-Saud family and the civilized western folks say after their meetings might remind us Michael Corleone´s words:

Nothing personal, just business.

that person should be fined for ignoring that hers, it´s a consumer issue ( though quite stupid) and not a life or death emergency.

That´s remind me those folks who go on climbing mountains when the weather forecast anounces storms or risk of avalanches.
They should be fined and given a good slap after rescuing them. smiley - grr

I can hardly believe this is true. There are few people who made me laugh as much as Rik Mayall did:

Irish slaves were highly valued in the American Colonies.
The Moroccans and other north African raiders and pirates
had been taking them off the emerald isle for a thousand
years before the US started needing plantation workers that
might have at least some agricultural experience.

I'm sure we get this, or a version of it, every single year at the start of summer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27806441 3 million people suddenly remember they need a passport to go abroad and they need it *right now*.

I used to work on their IT. Like many other government departments they've been pared down to the bone, and then they keep adding new requirements around security checks.

I don't think that they've suddenly had a rush of people who have forgotten to renew their passport - it's probably in line with what happened in previous years.

So now they have to do something to avoid losing face (and votes) - it's too late to start recruiting people, so they'll probably streamline the checks (increasing the security risk).

And then they'll blame the IT suppliers.
