How did this happen? Has the world gone madder? I found this amazingly confusing perhaps because I have no idea why Madonna would deserve the "sacred" blue peter badge

Arnie lets an execution go ahead.
"Governor Schwarzenegger upheld the sentence, describing Beardslee as "not... a man who is so generally affected by his impairment that he cannot tell the difference between right and wrong". "
Really. Arnie said that did he?

Well, she's not quite talking about invading these places yet. Most of those countries mentioned are mis-ruled by quite nasty governments - Burma and Zimbabwe in particular.

"The Guardian is the newspaper the public trusts the most, according to a survey published today.
...
The Guardian topped the poll of newspapers with 110 mentions, equal first with the Daily Mail despite the huge difference in the circulation of the two papers."
equal first with the Daily Mail????

Good point RF
It just when i read newspapers i usually, keep in mind the political bias of the paper, usually taking what any paper says with a pinch of salt.
The idea that anyone would trust that such a hate filled paper such a the Daily Mail, is telling the absolute truth, is very scary to me.

Read a copy i found on the train (always seems to be the daily mail that is left on trains) a few weeks back.
Seemed to be filled with stories about how immigrants are going to take over. Youth of today are violent, sex crazed druggies and the media is filled with sex, lies and sausage rolls.

Mainly the immigrants are taking over ones, they're just fueling peoples irrational hatreds and giving support to people like BNP.
The 'youth of today' stories tend to be full of "we were never like that when we were young" and "when i was a lad, we had tough" talk. Which is a load of b*ll*cks.
The media ones though valid in a sense, just makes me think. 'So what, if you don't like the programme, don't watch it.'

Ah, a proper person to person duel to sort out an argument. The the two politicians had been Americans they would have used cruise missiles and put each others wives in separate fields and fired at them. No chance of getting killed or hurt if you use someelse to sort out your arguments because you can't sort out the problem by talking.
Duels should they come back?
