I saw a trailer full of new land rovers yesterday;

..and they struck me as looking much like children's toys, made large.
Thinking about it, people are less inhibited now about saying they enjoy reading stuff like Harry Potter, adults tend to dress youthfully, and things like action figures are not collected solely by kids. Are people becoming more juvenile in their tastes?

Well I've already annoyed people by commenting on the propensity of adults towards not graduating from teenage literature, so I'm saying nothing.

I'd comment, but according to my light-up LED Transformers wristwatch, it's time for my Fireman Sam spaghetti shapes on toast.

Modern cars are just crap. They all look the same. I'm not a petrolhead at all, but I was in a transport museum over Easter, and was reminded how much variety there used to be in car design. Those old ones were *cool*. If we still had cars like the Model T I could see the attraction of getting tore into one with a spanner. But all these wee bubbly-looking toy Land Rovers?! Meh...

And by yimminy you had to, frequently.
Modern cars comfortably and reliably get you from A to B and only rarely break. All those people you see grinning inanely whilst driving ancient cars are deliriously happy that the bloody thing is running at all.

"Are people becoming more juvenile in their tastes?"
Yes. People younger than me keep being born, and the ones who are older than me keep getting less numerous. I didn't *want* to gradually morph into a
, but it's happening.
There's an upside, though. I get a senior discount at the movie theater. Nobody bats an eye when I use the discount to see the latest animated film. They're usually happy to have *anybody* buy tickets, especially in the middle of the week.

Ah, there's a thing, Paulh. Tickets for this, for that...
We now have not just Gold Cards but SUPER Gold Cards. Wonderful things they are, too - mind you, I've not tried this one out on a taxi driver yet.
But still inside, when not trying to actually Do anything, I ain't no more juvenile than just out of school, so the answer is no.

If we accept that people becoming more juvenile in their tastes, does that imply that children's tastes are effectively more adult?
