Please can I draw stuff for the guide?
It would mean a great deal to me to be able to contribute this way. I have the software for the task, along with the enthusiasm for the DNA/H2G2 project.

Pretty please with strawberries and cream???

While you're waiting for the Italics to resume screening volunteers, you might like to write something in your personal space and tell us about yourself. You seem to have discovered the Community Art scheme within 6 hours of registering on h2g2!

Thanks Jodan smiley - smiley

Hi Foque Ouite

As Jodan said, the Editors are going to be busy until the 22nd and I need to clarify things before the test is set because our instructions for this period of time aren't very clear. Someone will get back to you.

Thanks for volunteering though smiley - smiley. What graphics software do you use?

cripes! that was quick!

i have photoshop7 for the really fiddly pixel-mashing, flash 5 and fireworks 4 for doing cartoony style vector-bending and despite it's low functionality, i like to revert to paint on occasion for just doing something simple and raw - between them I can churn out good quality images in almost any desired format.

i shall be editing my profile when i've had some sleep and my brain works a bit better!

Ta Jodan - I can't bare to see things looking (to my eye at any rate) plain. I have plenty of experience with other markup languages so the gML hasn't posed too much of a problem. smiley - smiley

Hi Foque Ouite

You've probably read the post-Petunia 'Changes to h2g2' page A1297280.

On that page it says that the Italics 'will only be actively recruiting for one scheme at a time, although Researchers can volunteer at any time. When we are actively recruiting for a specific scheme, we'll let the current volunteers know, and that scheme will be promoted on the Front Page.'

So as soon as a recruitment session for the Community Artists comes round one of us will pop by and set the test if you're still interested. Meanwhile, enjoy h2g2 smiley - smiley.
