Superfrenchie

My niece is two and a half years old. She started school last September.
She's been learning songs.
She doesn't yet have a good grasp of either rhythm or pitch, but she's pretty good at words. At least, French words.
This week she learnt a song for when there's cake with candles on it.
She sang it to me.
It went something like this: "Ally bufday toooo yoooooooo". smiley - laugh

Later on, I had the priviledge of reading her a bedtime story. My sister recently bought a "Spot" book in English. So I started reading it to her. Halfway through, she said "why aren't you speaking normally?".
Foreign languages are so strange...

You can call me TC

More than half the world's population is bilingual. It's just that the ones who make the most noise are monolingual and think it's cool smiley - cool not to be able to speak any other language.

I can speak 16 languages, but only when someone puts the words in front of me. I don't understand more than two or three languages, depending on how fast the other person is speaking.
