Speaking of musicosis... The month of February has been absolutely tortorous to my brain for these last two or three years. Subway sandwich shops have been running their "FebruANY" promotion along with it's insipid and repetitive "Five... Five dollar... Five dollar Foot Long" jingle with the word 'Febru-any' thrown in. Every single night this month as I've tried to drift off to sleep that damn tune lilts into my brain and I have to crow bar it out by mentally humming anything else (usually the Colbert Report theme as I've usually just watched the show). When the ad comes on the TV my reflexes can never be faster than the jingle. "I can hate that song in notes." Right now it's bouncing around in my head like a malicious bumblebee.

I'm so happy that FebruANY is finally over. Leap year just meant one more day of distress.

Side note, my dad thinks I over react when I mention commercial jingles and Whitney Houston songs (seriously, it's one ing sentence repeated endlessly... make it stop!) getting stuck in my head. It really does drive me to distraction. And once I think about it I keep thinking about it. And when I do that I think about why I'm so susceptible and realize it's because I think about it. I can't stop.

Aaargh!...

I can't believe these two (brother and sister) never made it into the big time, although, as Peely would often say, and did so during this session I think, the music biz is a profoundly unpleasant beast and when you find someone like this you want to keep them to yourself and a few friends and not let the beast anywhere near them.
