The forecasters predicted 78 for Monday; we actually made 83. Oh well
I'm not sure what the prediction was for today but we've made 80 again. Thursday, which I think was set to be in the mid 60s a few days ago, is now 59.

There are rumours of a snowflake in the air this morning! Yes, just the one.
So, the warmest we got yesterday was 66F/18.9C. That was during the night, before the cold front arrived, around 6am. Our actual daytime maximum yesterday was 43/6.1. It's currently 35/1.7, and the forecast maximum for today (Tuesday) is 52/11.1, with a minimum of 34/1.1 tonight.
By Thursday night the *minimum* is going to be higher than today's maximum - 57/13.9 - and 62/16.7 on Friday night
And two nights later, on Monday... 33/0.6
You know that old saying about people from poor backgrounds who make a huge amount of money and whose grandchildren squander the family fortune because they never knew anything but the lap of luxury? Rags to rags in three generations? Well, Texas weather is a bit like that - January to July and back again in seven days.

They interrupted the previously scheduled program (The Ellen Show, so no big deal) for BREAKING NEWS.
They spotted a few snowflakes amongst the rain in Fort Bend County about 50 miles West of Houston proper.
(It really wasn't an imposition as at that moment in the Ellen Show they had the audiences picking their favorite "President" between two male strippers, one dressed as Lincoln, the other as Washington.)

"Cool Down Has Begun... 50s Sunday, 30s Monday, Rain & Possible Ice. After spring-like 70s Saturday (78 in Austin), it looks like winter will settle in for a week with a series of cold fronts between now and next weekend. Bust out the coats again."

I'm rather unimpressed by today's predictions. I'm at my local and I got here in my car. The precipitation predictions led me to leave the bikes at home. (After last Saturday, my Flevobike is not allowed to go to the pub for a while. It beats me up when it drinks too much. My ankle is still swollen.) Weather dot com's app is currently showing a 52% chance of rain even though we've been dry all evening and there is no rain on the radar for a 50 mile radius.
I think I'll look for a new app directly from the National Weather Service.

Heh... and right after midnight a little shower came across this side of the bay... just to spite me. If I had been on the bike, I'd be soaked. If I had been on the bike and left ten minutes earlier or later, i'd be nice and dry (and would have gotten 3 miles of riding in.)

By all means let me know if you turn up a good jet stream weather prediction service.
I'm currently using Intellicast, so-so reliability on forecasts, but enough special features to make it interesting.

Saturday was mostly nice but it was clear and a bit cold last night down to -2C 28F here in the London Heat Island, today started bright currently 5C 41F but will rain later so getting warmer allegedly will reach 9C 48F by 23:00 when the rain is due to finish.
Quite Breezy so feels cold out.
Then getting colder again, back to 4C 39F For Monday Morning.
