There is a special crew, the base builders to design and build the base for the man, they also plan for the pyrotechnics used at the actual burn.

On sunday night The Temple and some of the other art will be burned.

I changed the dates, and added a link to the Burning Man website, but I think maybe this entry needs a bit more of a rewrite and I don't have time right now to do much. The bit about the number who attended last year is probably inaccurate since it was written nine years ago.
Sorry I didn't do it before the event finished.
