I sand the role of Noah Little in a high school production of Strauss's "The Gypsy baron." The librettist took major liberties with the original opera, setting the action among a group of tourists at a resort in the Alps. One of the characters was from Punxsatawney, Pennsylvania, which he sang about as "my town in PA." Sadly, I cannot find any of the lyrics on the Internet. I might still have the librett6o in some dusty box somewhere in my bedroom...
