Ahh, Soft Machine...

And here's something irresistible -- Buffalo Springfield. Steven Stills and Neil Young are practically teenagers, and who the hell told that drummer to dress for a realtors' convention?

It looks like they were dressed as "trendy" by an old fart TV producer.

Karaoke. Able to make even a professional musician look like an amateur smiley - laugh

Given the news today about Tony Blackburn's lifetime achievement award, this seems appropriate.

If that hasn't woken the old heads up, nothing will. But just in case...

Alive? Well, I wouldn't go that far smiley - winkeye The jury's still out on that one, Lil. Probably more so than Keith Richard, but less than Lemmy.

Well he is still on Radio 2, does that count as Alive??

Hey, I won't have a word said against Radio 2. Leastways, not the old Radio 2. It might have been seen as a bit naff, a bit MOR, a bit mums and dads, but it was its own thing and there was nowt else like it. Radio 2 was like stepping back in time 20 or 30 years, and in a good way, although it was only for dipping into now and again, not for all-day listening, and especially not Wogan. Thank Bob I lived in London and had GLR to listen to throughout the 90s, because I'd long since stopped listening to R1, which was steadily going further up its own fundament instead of just being the nation's go-to pop station.

Radio 2 today is just 1980s Radio 1 Lite, and a lot of the interesting stuff, such as the niche and minority interest music, and the music documentaries and documentary series they used to produce, has either been relegated to late night spots or disappeared altogether.

To be honest, I could put up with Wogan over Breakfast and driving to site.
Couldn't stand the Ginger Winger etc.
So in the car it tends to be Absolute Radio.

If I want music I go for BBC 6 when I am by a computer or TV as I don't have a DAB radio in the car.
