Make Mine Music

Post 1

Gnomon - time to move on

I'd never heard of "Make Mine Music", but I know two of the pieces in it. I saw "Peter and the Wolf" as a supporting feature in the cinema. I can't remember which Disney film it was supporting. And I have "Willie the Operatic Whale" on a video along with some other short musical pieces - Ferdinand the Bull and Lambert the Sheepish Lion.

I first saw 'Peter and the Wolf' on its own on television, long before I knew of the others' existence. Disney seem to have periods in which they disown the compilations and release the component parts separately. 'Mike Mine Music' is much more varied in style and humorous than 'Fantasia'.
