You know, looking through those links, I realised something:

Everybody else thinks we're writing a Guide for the people on this planet. Lots of websites try to do that. But you know what?

I think the Edited Guide could be read by people on OTHER planets. And they'd learn a lot about Earth.

I have always thought that I was helping write the Guide for aliens visiting Earth from other planets. That was Ford Prefects job, wasn't it? Collecting info on Earth to put in the Guide to Earth for aliens.

Or have I been thinking wrongly for the last 15 years???

Regarding the subbing. I selected this Entry from the "awaiting sub" pile because I mentally calculated that I could do the job in 90 minutes plus half-time (Ian was watching a football match). I did it with minutes to spare
