Subbing Folk or Fake

Hi Dmitri
I'm your Sub-editor for Folk or Fake? The Strange Journeys of Tunes and their Composers. The new version is A87835486 - please subscribe!
I enjoyed reading this, as I have learned about many "traditional" songs actually being composed more recently than people would think. The Entry is very neat too - bookended perfectly by Lehrer
Just one question: Who is the Tin Pan Alley lyricist from Scranton, Pennsylvania?

Hi, Sasha. Thanks! I've subscribed.
The Tin Pan Alley lyricist was Ned Washington, a prolific writer.

I don't know much about him.

Thanks Dmitri
Sorry for the delay in my getting round to finishing the subbing of this, but November was rather busy with NaJoNos
I've read it through and added some more links, so I hope you're happy with it too.
The only questions I have are about the three youtube links in the Serious Folk Music, Sort of section. I'm inclined to leave them in, as they have been online for some years, but if you could find alternative links I think that would be preferable for our guidelines for Edited Entries.
Thank you

Hi, there.
I've searched, and the only one of those I could find a replacement for was:
Vitava, or The Moldau http://archive.org/details/SMETANATheMoldau-NEWTRANSFER
There just aren't any safe links for those other than Youtube. That is, 'Carul cu boi' might be got at through Romanian sites, but frankly, I'm not confident about Romanian sites...you're really better off with Youtube.
Leave them out if you don't think they're necessary.

Thanks Dmitri
I changed that link, but will leave the other two youtubes in for now, as they do enhance the Entry, and we'll see what happens when the final polish is done.
I'm happy with this now, so if you are too I'll send it on its way.

Good work guys
Final polish has been performed, the only problem I had was with http://archive.org/details/SMETANATheMoldau-NEWTRANSFER - which came up "cannot be displayed" - but I only have a notebook with piffle memory capacity so if you tell me the link is ok on your equipment then I'll pass it

No problem, it was https on mine too, but when you paste that it doesn't come up as a link, so I try to remember to remove the "s", I don't always remember so you were lucky this time
All systems go then... full steam ahead!
