Did you know about Dihydrogen Monoxide?

Post 1

Geggs

I've just found this website this morning which talks about the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide. Apparently exposure to this chemical kills thousands every year, and yet no one ever really talks about it. It's like the greatest conspiracy ever. Please, read this website and make up your own mind. Ignorance is a terrible thing.

Unfortunately, I'm in a position where I have to encounter dihydrogen monoxide daily. But luckily, I know where my towel is. smiley - towel

I got some on my hands earlier this morning. Luckily I wiped it off quickly.

By god that's an old one. But thanks for the reminder.

This worked on my mother a long time ago - hilarious.

I think that whole piece is a bit scaremongering. How can you ban dihydrogen monoxide when it's the active ingredient in a number of homeopathic cures?

Tell me about it !
I actually swallowed some this morning (I wasn't completely awake, and I stupidly keep it in the kitchen!).
Thankfully, I then had the presence of mind to drink some water.
Now I'm feeling perfectly fine.
Lucky escape, though! smiley - yikes

I understand that if you boil it, and throw in some dried leaves, it becomes mostly harmless.

That may be a tinfoil hat theory, though.

It's a key component of smiley - ale, so I advise caution for those who visit their local pubs.

Oh no! I'm going to a pub tonight. Perhaps I should stick to fruit juice or mineral water instead. Or is it one of those times when the alcohol in the beer renders the DHM harmless?

here's a suggestion" on the way to the pub, pick up some dehydrated water, and add it to your smiley - ale. That should do the trick.

I saw some children spraying eachother with it, from colourful plastic guns. Judging from the running and screaming, it must be really vile.
Where's the parenting responsibility going, I ask you!?

There was a thin film of the damn stuff on my car this morning. I think I will have to take it to the car wash to make sure that it is rinsed off properly.

Ah, back in the days when URLs were considered more dangerous than DHMO.
