The difference here though is that the burglars didn't shoot anyone, (nor indeed did any of them have a gun) it was the actions of the householder, in killing one of the burglars, that brought the 'felony murder' charge onto the other burglars. The reasoning is that the burglars set off a chain of events that resulted in a death, so they are to blame, even though it was one of them who died.

Jumping back to Pasty's thing.
How much time a week / month are Councillor's expected to put in, I know some of my local ones seem to spend most evenings and at least one day on weekends doing council stuff, whilst some others I never bump into.
I think the issue of not being around to keep up with what's happening will catch up with her, but I don't see any need for an immediate by-election.

Page 9 of today's Guardian, 'Only one supermarket chicken in four is 'safe'.' If they think being beheaded and having your innards and legs stuffed up your backside is safe I reckon their risk assessment skills need revisiting.

The prison business has won a lasting client. The shareholders must be happy.
Surely they are against any kind of rehabilitation programme. Anyone needs that kind of attention, but teenagers, who are not adults yet, need it even more.
