You live in Manchester.

Try taking a large and cumbersome umbrella with you every day. This guarantees that it won't rain... at least not until you forget your umbrella or leave it on the bus.

Manchester would explain a lot - but unfortunately not THAT.

I should change my rather nice umbrella and try it...., I´ll do and tell you the result.

The Q

Conversely, I always seem to be thinking "well at least it didn't rain while I was out" and as soon as I step through the door, it chucks it down! I then get a weird self-satisfied and unwarranted smug feeling that somehow I've been selected by some superior force to be sheltered from the elements, only I forgot to buy milk, so I have to go back out in the torrential downpour, where I curse the gods for pissing down on my head.

Funny that!

Uhm.. Before I answer... are you blonde?

Post 8

The Q

when was the last time you saw so many syllables in an entry from a blonde?

and anyway, I presume you mean blonde 'skirt', which isn't very politically correct of you is it? (spot the irony - you do know what irony is don't you?)

I'm drowned by Poodles- Bucketing it down in Wolverhampton. I think the clouds get trapped inside city centres that are surrounded by ring roads-

No, I meant blonde in general... I was going to mention the low-pressure system you create when you step outside before filling up. (If the answer was affirmative, that is. smiley - winkeye)

Cheerful Dragon

A propos of blondes in general, seeing as we have got on to the subject...

I was working with a couple of colleagues, one blonde (i.e. female) and the other blond (i.e. male), and we started telling jokes. After a string of 'dumb blonde' jokes from all parties (none of us is PC) I told the 'two nuns in a bath' joke. You know the one.

There were two nuns in a bath. One said 'Where's the soap?' The other replied 'Yes, it does, doesn't it.'

My male colleague didn't get it, and I just had to say 'Well, talk about dumb blonds!'
