They hauled me into court for wearing pleats in public, but I ended up with a pleat bargain.

Well I have knitted a square patch, Gosho, but knitting gets seriously boring. I'm proud of my square patch, though.

Maybe try crocheting in the new year, KB. A treble crochet in a very thick wool is much taller than a row of plain knitting, so it will grow faster. And you can crochet in circles, so you can add that to your knitted square and make a collage.

did I recommend one big fat needle and one thin needle and chunky wool?
you need to learn to knit and watch TV at the same time, then it's not boring

I totally want to be able to knit. Totally-otally-otally. But in the hours and hours of practice that it would take for me to become even a crap knitter, I could become a good woodcarver.
