Despite the endeavours of his mother (my niece) to get him to arrive a week early, Parker was determined to wait until his due date 
Parker arrived this morning at 4.25am, weighing in at a healthy 8lb 15oz 
Cassie is made up to have a baby brother 
I think both parents are doing well

My Grandfather was born on 23December. He may have been shorted on presents a time or two, but he had the biggest birthday party in the family From as far back as I can remember our entire family combined his birthday with the family Christmas, leaving the actual day to each family to celebrate as they wished.

I was also born on 23 December.
I did not have the biggest party. I didn't have parties. When I was a kid, I couldn't have parties because all my friends were away. For my 16th birthday, we visited my mother's family in West (bygod) Virginia. On my birthday I woke up to an empty farmhouse as everyone else had gone off site-seeing. On their way back they finally remembered and stopped and picked up a last minute grocery store birthday cake. And I didn't even get any of that as my sister ate the last piece while I was off sulking. I really didn't mind as it was just a chocolate sheet cake. Bleh.
When I was an adult, all my friends are either away or just too busy with Christmas.
The best birthday I've ever had was in 2006 with just a few friends and we went to New Orleans. And it snowed on Christmas day in the French Quarter.
That was nice.
Do not let family combine Parker's Christmas and his birthday. Make his birthday separate and special.
