Last days there seems to have been a climate conference.
smiley - goodlucksmiley - earthsmiley - surfersmiley - island
Some 200 countries were involved.

--Less then 2 degrees, is it enough (when and compared to what!)

--By 2100 we will not produce more CO2 smiley - sigh then the Earth smiley - earth can reabsorb (the surplus we produce in the next 85 years is not too much?)

Well, every five years there will be a re-evaluation.

The agreement is something smiley - ok(but is it enough?)

Geminides smiley - star tonight if smiley - star clear enough.

Global warming is too much sensationalized.

Stipulated, CO2 levels are rising and the trend does need monitoring.

On the other hand, global temperatures are not yet back up to the levels that obtained 14th century before the climate cold snap cilminating in 'the little ice age' seized in.

Back in that age England was a major wine growing country and in North America, the Concord grape was found north of the Saint Lawrence.

Dairy farming is making a comeback in Greenland.

The Mackenzie ice sheet in Canada, probably a relic of 'the year without a summer' is gone.

There is talk of reviving orchardry in Iceland, where that was once possible at the time the island was initially settled.

People tend to forget that the world would be in a a natural warming trend at this point even without industrial emissions, though no one who's ever survived a 3rd stage so. CA smog alert would deny that air quality is an important issue in its own right.

Traveller in Time smiley - tit gambling
"When I make a bet I always assure I have a more then 80% chance of winning. (So I do not really gamble)

The Earth has been a snowball as well as a steaming sauna in the past. The pollution by volcanoes and meteorites has been way more then we generate.

It is not just a few degrees temperature change, it is the fact we (the human society) will be disrupted beyond our comfort zone. We rely on food production at the current conditions. We are living in areas just above (?) sea level.

The Earth will survive, humans will survive. It is life but not as we know it. "
