Oh, and I saw a reference to Baader-Meinhoff this week as well. Not about the effect, but about the actual group itself. It was cited in a recent film, Suspiria. Someone was commenting that they focused too much on Baader-Meinhoff, and I had to read the sentence twice to determine if they meant the phenomenon or the leftist militants. It was the latter.

OK... this one is wild. On Thursday (maybe Friday) I'm at work scanning institutional NASA images like every day now, and I scan a portrait of two Gemini astronauts I don't recognize, Elliot See and Charlie Bassett. Intrigued, I look up Elliot See and learn of their tragic deaths. On a foggy morning their T-38 trainer jet crashed in St. Louis, into the McDonnell Aircraft Building 101 housing their Gemini IX capsule.
And just now as I'm scrolling through Reddit I see the exact same portrait linked to their story in the r/NASA subreddit.

The big coincidence is that I scanned their portrait so close to the 50th anniversary of their deaths. I saw the portrait again this morning in a JSC daily email.
