I doubt it. The main problem is that I now have black text on a complicated background of black lines. (black shaky lines at that, I see now that I've taken a closer look.)

Basically it now looks like a bad cover-up and I just don't see anyway to fix it. Hopefully it might clear up a bit when it heals.

At least it's not very big, it fits under my wristwatch. Most people never really noticed it before as I always wear a watch.

So...

Our republican congress think that food safety is too expensive...

They have funded the FDA at about half the amount needed for the changes created in 2010 for the Food Safety Modernization Act.

As per their constant mantra, "regulation is bad, tax cuts R gud."

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

When there are lax (or no) regulations, people die and people get hurt. I don't know what part of that is so hard to understand.

Starbucks is offering a Mother's Day special gift card.

Buy one for your mother and show her what an EEDJIT she raised.

It's a limited edition card with $50 preloaded that comes in a fancy ceramic finish for the low price of $200.

Fresh off the embarrassing news that a 14 year old was arrested for bringing a home built digital clock to school, Texas reaffirms its status as an ematrassing place to live with the news that Houston is home to the youngest case of type 2 diabetes (otherwise known as adult onset diabetese). A 3 year old girl was admitted to a local hospital after her parents became concerned by her uncontrolled thirst and urination. They apparently weren't concerned with her weighing 77 lbs at 3 years old... the weight of an average 11 year old.

This is as good a place as any to place this, I guess.

The shit spewing from Donald Trump's mouth, and the fact that he suffers no real repercussions from the vile things he says is emboldening open bigotry among the folks that he panders to. Make no mistake, Trump is not inventing this stuff. He's pandering to a well established audience that the republican party has pandered to since the Reagan administration.

What Trump has done has made it OK to spout horrid, bigoted things in public.

Here is a sign out front of a local Dairy Queen (a small chain of independently owned franchises of burger joints founded in Texas).

I titled this, "Do You Want Sprinkles With Your Islamophobia?". (Dairy Queen promotes an ice cream treat with a miriad of optional toppings.)

But seriously... is this what we're dealing with now? Open, accepted bigotry?

Only in Texas: Katy Independent School District (just West of Houston) uses "surplus" millions to finish building world's costliest high school football stadium; "forgets" it needs to build a new elementary school.
