Are you looking for a Metal Detecting Club in Stoke -on -Trent??
Look no further!! I am the secretary of this very clib, called North Staffs Historical and Search Society, we meet on the second Monday of the month at the Victory Working Mens Club, Hanley Road, Smallthorne at 8-00pm.
We are a friendly bunch and welcome new members who are encouraged to join the Federation of Independant Detectorists,(www.newbury.net/fid/) an organisation dedicated to the hobby. Our club is at present about 50 members strong, and we have a Find of the Month competition - to new folk this is an insight in itself to the things to be found with a metal detector, and usually in the first 4" of earth. We arrange monthly outings and have occasional guest speakers who talk on all manners of subjects from reproductions, to detecting in foriegn countries,from dowsing to gold panning.
