Purple Poem

Purple

Life is like a Marxist argument;
Conflict
Sitting on the train,
Voices talking over lapping noise,
Merges into a language undecipherable
Individuality lost
Whirling pictures through the window speeding past
Grey skies, rain I think
No umbrella meritocracy
Lies upon lies illusions unravel
We disembark but don't stop travelling
Onwards to our self imposed consumerist prison
Yet in rest all are equal or so they say
Rich men and camels dine together,
Probably bacon
