This is pretty harrowing, so you'll probably want to wait to read this until it won't spoil your Christmas dinner. But after watching the films and reading the articles - and Kurt Gerstein's own version of events - I felt that a summary should be my Christmas tribute to some people I admire very much.

And there is a song, way down at the bottom of the page, which is actually associated with Christmas time.

Good work and the tribute you hoped it would be. I had no idea of who these people were they deserve to be remembered.
Well done smiley - ok

This is a sobering article. Although I know the facts of the Holocaust well enough, it is still difficult to read the detailed accounts of the suffering of so many men, women and children. smiley - cry

I've wondered whether the Allies were totally cynical about their knowledge of the Holocaust. After all, the effort of building and staffing the camps must have occupied up a large number of German officers and men, who might otherwise have been fighting.

I don't think I have any useful crits.

Thanks for the response, MVP. smiley - hug

And yes, I know it's hard to read. That's why I felt I had to do the translation, excerpts, and gloss. Sooner or later, we need to sit and down and think about reasons for the outside world's actions - or lack thereof. We owe it to the millions who died.
