This is my response to the Create challenge for January. It is based on articles in the New Scientist, the Guardian website and that of the BBC.

A very informative read, and timely

Although I am, of course, aware of the epidemic I did not know the details. One suggestion I will make is that on dates such as >In mid September, the United Nations...< might be better with the year added. Although it is clear in January, 2015 that it must be 2014 someone reading 5 or 10 years from now could be confused. Hopefully, by then, we can add a section about the final defeat of this catastrophe.

This is indeed excellent.

The only though I have is perhaps stress more the roles of the volunteers from the UK, US, France etc who have volunteered to go to infected areas, knowing the risks involved, to tackle the virus. 'Cos every last volunteer, , etc, is a (and braver than me).

I do feel that the Cubans deserve some praise - they sent the single largest amount of actual nurses and doctors to the region.
