Hi Sasha, this is lovely, thank you for writing it up! It sounds a lovely place to visit.
I don't think birds like Avocets, Kingfishers, Goldfinches etc, need capitalising mid-sentence.
>>brown road signs<< I know what you mean by this, but other readers from different countries may not, perhaps a footnote that brown road signs denote tourist attractions?
You could add this link to marsh orchids = A26916474
Do you have photos to share?

When this was the fisheries there was some rather heated debate amongst anglers as to whether Burton was on the Wirral side of the Cheshire boundary, don't know if the debate continues ?

I don't know Burton but this is an enticing introduction to a reserve.
I would expect that there are different things to see in the dfferent seasons: waterfowl in the winter, for example, while the lizards and dragonflies would be there in the summer. Is it worth making these distinctions?

Thanks everyone
Yes, Burton is in South Wirral so is Cheshire West rather than Wirral in terms of council status - I don't think they mind that these days.
That is a fabulous project about Orchids - I've added the appropriate link
I've sorted the capitalization and added the footnote
I've added a header Seasons and I will add some more detail into there later, when I check my photos and see what I saw when
