Although his bold colour schemes are not particularly to my taste smiley - rainbow Kaffe Fassett has inspired me in my craft activities, so I enjoyed his autobiography and wrote an Entry too!

Hi Sasha! smiley - smiley

Thanks for writing this up, I'd never heard of him beforesmiley - ok

I spotted a few typos:
"so he wss very disappointed" (was)
"he was offered the chamce" (chance)

but otherwise everything looks ok. smiley - ok

smiley - galaxyI learned to knit while very young, as did my sister. I can remember my older brother asking me to knit him a scarf, and I told him he could knit it himself, he was miffed and said it was a girl's hobby! He could have been so trendysmiley - winkeye

I knitted for my babies, it's so much more rewarding than just buying something from a shop. I used to knit jumpers for myself too. I may take it up again, to take my mind off the endlessly boring daytime tv shows I endure at my mother's housesmiley - zzz

smiley - cheers

Thanks GB!

Typos fixed - (not easy to type on a tablet computer, and I missed those when I did a read through on my PC...)

I enjoy knitting at the same time as watching TV - I like making small items best, such as toys or dolls' clothes, but I am attempting to knit myself a hooded jacket this year, which is quite a challenge...

Good entry, Sasha!

his fellow (small dark and interesting) student Dustin Hoffman said
-- this is a bit clumsy. Could you reword it? Perhaps you could say:

his fellow student, the small, dark and interesting Dustin Hoffman, said

he went to San Francisco in 1963 and just about sold enough work to keep him afloat financially
--change "him" to "himself"

Kaffe was seen as an 'oddity' and he used this infamy to his advantage
-- please check the definition of "infamy" and make sure it is the correct word for this situation. Would "notoriety" be better?

I think Pebble Mill is the name of a TV programme so it should be italicised. Not sure whether Women's Hour is a programme title or just a general slot in the schedule.

a dedicated exhibition in the V&A in London -- since we don't appear to have an entry on the V&A, I think you should spell this out as the Victoria and Albert Museum the first time you refer to it.

Brendon Mably ... as Brandon and he bought a house

Is it Brendon or Brandon?

Great Sasha -

my only observation is that if you say the name Kaffe Fassett to me, I immediately think of needlepoint design. His patterns were widely advertised in places like Sunday supplements years ago - but only for needlepoint. Is it possible to enhance the small section where you mention needlepoint - I am guessing that searches for information on this designer would not only be about knitting.

Cheers

Thanks Gnomon and Lanzababy smiley - biggrin

I have made those amendments, and added a bit more emphasis on the needlepoint - very interesting that I first encountered him as a knitter via a kit for making socks, then visited one of his patchwork exhibitions in 2003, but never realised he did so much work for Ehrman needlepoint until this year!

smiley - ok
