I was reading an article in a wikapedia entry, claiming the great eddy, who is one of my alltime heroes, still holds the record, for Tour de france victories.I have left the sport a long time ago but was under the impression the American Lance Armsstrong took that honour?

Lance has the overall win record, but I don't think he won as many stages as "The Cannibal", so maybe that's what they were referring to?
