*The large and currently empty STUMPED court looks as if it has been carved entirely from one gigantic chunk of black marble, which it has. The Judge's Throne is gigantic and majestic, with gargoyels on either arm rest. The Judge's desk is emblazoned on the front with the word STUMPED and the STUMPED logo (as soon as someone thinks up a STUMPED logo, we'll know what that looks like). The witness box looks particularly uncomfortable. The pillars throughout the room are solid pillars of marbel. The seats are marble. And nothing is moveable because it's all carved out of the inside of the same block of marble. The only moveable objects in the room are a swinging, lockable adamantium door that closes off a recess where the defendants are held, the oak doors that lead to the judge's chambers, those that lead to the jury's deliberation room, and the huge redwood doors that lead outside the courtroom. *

ohhhhhh, this is gonna be gooooood...

(Are you the balif or the judge? If you're the judge we should probably appoint one of the STUMPED minions as balif.)

Your Honor, the first thing the prosecution is anxious to get settled is a matter of bail. We would not want buisness relations between CLI and STUMPED to be strained because of the trial.

(i was going to be both, because usually the judge comes into the court AFTER the defendent, but oh well.)

*the baliff looks sheepish*

[baliff] you saw through the disguise, eh? drat. i wanted to see the look of terror on the defendent's face when he walked in.

*sea pulls off the baliff costume and takes her place - she's now dressed in black judge's robes and a silly powdered wig*

[sea] let's see... bail... it WAS a rather serious crime he committed, however i agree that we do not want to lose our welcome at CLI. so few places welcome supervillians these days. what do you suggest, Masque? i wonder if we should wait for a counter offer from the defense.

*Thinks* Your Honor is right. We should probably wait until council for the defense has been appointed.

*her honor looks very proud at having been right*
