Emmily ~ Roses are red, Peas are green, My face is a laugh, But yours is a scream

Project Title: The Bronte Sisters

A-number of Project Title Page: A12837242

Description of Project: The life and literature of the three Bronte sisters.

Proposed Completion Date: 30 November 2006

This is my first time for a Uni Project, hope I've done everything correct so far. smiley - smiley

I have a question, or two.

Do I list any Entries I link to as done here - A7709763 ?

Is Bronte okay, or should I use Brontê?

And if Brontê is preferred do I use ?

I'll probably be back with more questions at some point. smiley - smiley

Er ... it's Brontë, not Brontê. And you want one of these: ë

smiley - cheers Trin

I've got books with 'Bronte', 'Brontë' and 'Brontê' smiley - doh I'm sure they deilerately do these things to confuse me smiley - laugh (oooppps looking at them with my reading glasses on, it is Brontë, the two sort of dots looked like they were joined together smiley - rolleyes)

Yeah, you've got my 'Summer Advice for Domestic Pet Owners' I knew where it was smiley - smiley

Trin, (or anyone else who can answer this) smiley - ok

I've discovered that I can't use ë in external links, (or I'm doing it wrong) I get GuideML error message. Advise please. smiley - grovel

Trin, would you fancy being my allocated Sub-editor. It's a smiley - zen project, I'm not rushing it, as and when I feel like adding some to it. smiley - smiley

(don't take too much notice of what's in the Entries at the moment, most of it is still just a rough draft)

It might be because of the & - normally I'd say use & instead, but I'm not sure how that would work in this case! You could try and see...

Trin hopefully there will be very little for you to do by the time the Entries reach you, which is why I'm trying to sort out problems as I come across them. :) I'll be a more clearer in what I was asking in post #4. I'll use an external link from 'The Beinning' (A12827388) as an example. I tried to get the external link for Patrick Bronte to show as 'Biography Rev. Patrick Bront' in the right hand column, but when I tried to use the Title Tag in the coding - TITLE="Biography Rev. Patrick Brontë" (Patrick Brontë) I get the error - "The character '<' cannot be used in an attribute value." Emmily

The one with the & doesn't work and Entity Tags don't work either smiley - huh

The one thing that does seem to work is actually putting an 'e' with an umlaut directly in the TITLE one where the & one is now.

Which is probably very dodgy GuideML. Well, no, it definitely is. Might be worth raising this one on <./>GuideML-Clinic</.> Or <./>Feedback-Bugs</.> Or both!

That's a shame...

If you wanted someone else to finish this off, we could move it to the Flea Market - what do you think?
