It's definitely weird, I know that all I did, was to exchange your curly apostrophes with straight ones, and the accent with the code. It showed OK when I put it up. I just checked my copy, and the apostrophes are shown as: &#65533. smiley - weird
Firefox recently updated itself, seems it does strange things now.

I've no idea what would have caused that. You must have edited hundreds of articles before without that happening. Just put it down to a glitch.

(Sir Alan Sugar is a businessman who runs a TV show called 'The Apprentice' where young executives complete business-related tasks in the hope of winning a job. He delights in saying 'You're fired' to one of the contestants at the end of each show.)
