qotd suffers from h2g2 apathy. Nobody sends in quotes.
I used to be in charge of updating it, then it passed to geggs and finally to Magwitch. We all found the same thing.

Weird. I can't reach this thread in Pliny. It redirects to the front page. But I'm sure this is known, so no point in me putting in a bug report.

It is not apathy I struggle with it is finding quotes
I am sure that 2legs and TC have sent in quotes
I have.
If there is a not the volunteer capacity to do it then that is understandable.
Maybe a quote of the week would be manageable?

I gave up doing qotd at the end of last year. For purely personal reasons, really. I've taken on larger responsibilities at work and at church, and I simply needed to free up some time to fit the rest of my life in and, truth be told, qotd was the thing that I could most easily give up. Not that I wanted to give it up, and I agonised over the decision for several months, but I didn't really have much choice.
So, you see, my reasons where nothing to do with the site, and entirely to do with finding time to breathe.

I can see that it was a difficult decision for you but it was the right one. 
The reason I asked was that I was wondering if quotes were still wanted and if someone had taken on the role.
