Alright, let's be abolutely honest here, if you think of Eastbourne at all, it's probably as a quiet little seaside town full of old people. With Brighton to the west offering it's cosmopotilitan 'London-by-Sea' diversity and Hastings to the east with it's all-too-famous associations with one of the most famous events of British history1 how can Eastbourne possibly compete? One thing that seems to have improved since Eastbourne first merited an entry was the availability of places to eat, which is probably a good things because another thing that has changed is the closure of the highly recommended Littlewoods cafe. Eastbourne is a surprisingly cosmopolitan town which means that as well as the usual suspects such as chinese and Italian you can eat food that calls itself American, Mexian Persian, Turkish, Spanish, Polish, Thai and even, in the face of mounting pressure, English.
