Happy New Year!

Those sound like noble hopes, Pastey smiley - oksmiley - goodluck

As is usual for me, I hope to eat more and sleep more (last year I found myself generally staying up late to eat, which wasn't too bad for my energy levels, but could be better...)

I also plan to travel to visit people - last year I did quite well, as I went on holiday more than I thought I would, but this year I plan to go to more of a variety of places as well as my favourite smiley - biggrin In particular I hope to visit Manchester in June smiley - ok

I need to get down to more detailed planning...

Ack! I told z I'd narrow down Scotland stuff by New Year's! I plead smiley - chick hatching melting my brain (of course, that only excuses the last 21 days of the year, as I was part of a New Year's Day hatchalong).

I also need to get with MMF and Pastey as well--I've got 3 meets coming up! At least I've got dates for all 3 and a venue for Manchester... And I should probably finish the Yellowstone trip installments before I leave for the UKsmiley - laugh

Happy belated three kings' day!

Just returned home last night, from 10 days on Gran Canaria. It was fabulous! Spent today packing Christmas decorations away, and am just about to have a volunteers meeting with Robbie and Brian and the Core Team.

Vip!!! Ages since I saw you here! So glad!
We are still working at it, but let me tell you, this winter has knocked a couple of key persons out with illnesses! Luckily viruses, and will pass, but still...

I see baby Vip on fb now and then, it's amazing how he grows!

This has been a winter of nasty viruses in this house too (she says, sucking a Strepsil and hoping it doesn't turn into anything more).

Doesn't turn into anything more? If I was sucking a Strepsil I wouldn't mind if it turned into, say, a £50 note. Or a lump of gold maybe. smiley - winkeye

Here's hoping for gold. An old £50 note is a nasty thing to suck on smiley - yuk

Ginger infusion. Hot, spicy and yummy. Temporary relief even if it doesn't quite cure ailments...

But come on, how did five years happen in such a short time? Also, am applauding the Star Wars obsession. Can't start too early.

I keep telling myself that "one of these days" . . . I will watch a Star Wars flick. But now there are so many, I can't be bothered to figure which to watch first.

If you've never watched a Star Wars film, then there's a simple answer. You watch the First one, now known as Episode IV: A New Hope, originally known as simply "Star Wars" from 1977.

If you watch that one you can go straight to the cinema and watch Rogue One which tells a story leading up to Ep. IV and really enjoy it.

Meeting of hell officially complete. No idea how I'm going to write up my notes into Minutes but at least it's over. Christmas has meant this whole thing has been stretched out over weeks and weeks and it's been very difficult.

Fingers crossed the worst is now complete, moving forward can happen.

Volunteering for anything is hard work, and every time I do it I end up regretting it.

Yeah, Mr Vip like Star Wars. It's been Lego Star Wars that has won him over (we haven't shown him the films, although apparently he did see them at my in-laws before we thought to mention it to them that we were going to wait for a bit before letting him see them). I'm not completely OK with it but the boat has very firmly sailed on that!

I'm Secretary for a local orchestra for a couple of months. Sadly it's been a couple of months of unusual events so there's been some fallout. I wouldn't go as far as to say it is resolved now, but it is a bit better.

re posting 555:

But if you start with episode IV and Rogue One you may be somewhat disappointed with the rest, Nick

If you want to see all of the 9 episodes I suggest you take them in numerical order to avoid said disappointment

Know that so far we have seen 7 episodes. Rogue One is a spin off and there will be 2 more of those. So we have 4 more Star Wars films to look forward to, if Disney sticks to its plans smiley - geek
