What a joy to finally get that whole section of the Trilogy sorted out. Book Four had always confused me with its 'real life' hitchhiking sagas in Saabs, rainsoaked lorries and pub lotteries.
Of course I could understand a reborn earth sans dolphins, but why would Fenchurch live in Islington? Anyway, now it's all coming to life on Radio 4 and it's actually beginning to make sense. I'll just have to Listen Again. And Again.
