I don't know much about Tibet other than what I've read on h2g2 and what I've occasionally seen in the news, but I am sympathetic to Tibet.
And I know how to take a hint

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Feb 15, 2004
One of the most inspiring experiences of my life so far was hearing His Holiness speak at Alexandra Palace in London.
Please include me on the list

Delighted to, Gosho Parva. Welcome.
I know what you mean. My wife and I had the good fortune to hear His Holiness when he visited Indiana, USA, in 1999. It's an experience always to be treasured.

Thank you John
By the way, it's just Gosho - the Parva (and anything else that comes after 'Gosho') changes as often as the wind direction.

I am a friend of Tibet and admirer of the Dalai Lama whom I heard speaking in Dublin a few years back. Frank Aiken, our External Affairs (=Foreign) Minister in the 1950s, brought up the plight of Tibet at the UN, since when Irish governments have been unamimously silent, though some members have been supporters. What use are silent supporters? You may well ask.

Thanks, Recumbentman. Silent support is only to be desired in underwear, I'd say!
Hi, Peta. Welcome aboard.
Thanks to you both.

- is that friendly enough?
I'm afraid I have very little time for anything other than silent support, but I give the noisy variety whenever I can.

Hi, here I am! I've been a friend of Tibet for a long time so please add my name to the list! I'll even be a vocal one. I will do my best to make my voice heard, and help others to make their voices heard!

I'll add you name retro-actively to a long time ago. Welcome aboard!
Do please spread the word! For such a simple message, it seems to take an awful lot of spreading. Momentum is building, however, slowly but surely. There are a lot of good people out there who will be shocked and amazed that this tragic tale has taken so long to reach their ears.
Take a look through the Current Projects, too; there's something there to suit all appetites. The postcard/letter campaigns are particularly important, vitally so for poor Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, who could be executed as early as April; human rights groups regard the relative silence regarding his case as ominous.

JTG Please add me to the list. I have only come to this recently following Chaiwallah's recent entries in PR.

Thanks, Pimms. Please take a look around and consider taking up one or more of our current projects. The Bertie Ahern Postcard Project is obviously closest to Chai's heart. There's also tons of information in the Library.
Cheers,

Hi, everyone.
Here is a link to a report from Human Rights Watch concerning Tenzin Delek Rinpoche.

I've added this to the Tenzin Delek Rinpoche information in the Current Projects section.

Oh, so it's Tibetan New Year today, is it? I didn't know that ... there's a heck of a lot of stuff I still don't know about Tibet though I know of the way the Chinese have been bashing them up. Anyways ... and Happy Tibetan New Year to you too, JTG! I guess that wishing people a 'Happy Tibetan New Year' might be a good way of spreading a little bit of 'Tibet Awareness' around h2g2?
