So the tag is no longer W3C compliant, and shouldn't be used. However, until we can use our own CSS on h2g2, I don't see what the alternative would be.

No, that's not right, either, because it still picks up the size and color attrib. Has face been changed?

Yes, I was referring to font face= ... I wish they'd stop mucking with html. I don't 'style'/CSS/blah blah blah.

I presume that, when h2g2 gets a redesign (
), the tag we type in will simply parse as something else. It will essential become deprecated html, but perfectly good GuideML. Although it isn't officially supported by h2g2, so perhaps not...
According to <./>GuideML-Syntax</.>, 'only tags which are documented in the DNA GuideML Clinic are guaranteed to work in the future', so it's a tricky one. I think all BBC pages are supposed to be W3C compliant, so perhaps they'll have to work out a way of parsing it or remove it completely.
