Eternal Youth

A couple of weeks ago, we got to talking about the challenges of immortality. Minorvogonpoet had these thoughts.

Eternal Youth

A woman in a nightclub.

The man was so immersed in darkness I couldn't see his face. He offered me a bottle of brown liquid he said was an elixir of youth. I jumped at the chance. It worked, giving me the body of a twenty year old woman, instead of the wreck I'd become. I went to a club to listen to music and watch for likely men. Before long, I was crying into my drink. Although my body was young, my mind had lived sixty six years. I wept at the loss of people I had known and times I had enjoyed.
