DNA was plauged in his early career by claims that he was 'The Seventh Python' - but he did write an awful lot with Graham Chapman (including co-writing A Liars Autobiography) and contibuted and appered in a couple of sketches in the last series.
A footnote article on this would be nice seeing as he is our mentor.
Details of Chapman / Adams published collaborations are here in my Douglas Adams-ography A678945 Which sketches in MPFC were adamses, or which episodes they appaer in, i don't know.

Ah yes! Douglas also worked with Terry Jones on Starship Titanic of course.

And all the Pythons formed the first audience to hear the fiinished first Fit of HHGTTG the day it was finished. (Apparently they thought it was sort of ok)

I also understand that he is the only person other than python credited as a writer (the last series if I remember correct) - I'll check on the DVDs tonight.

Neil Innes also wrote some material for the fourth Python series, and Connie Booth co-wrote sketches with John Cleese for the German 'Flying Circus' episodes.
