Seeing that *life* has been detected in the Writing Workshop, I'm herewith giving it a try with a piece from the h2g2 University.
It's finished from my point of view but I'm quite sure there's a fair amount of 'Denglish' left

A fair amount of what?
I wouldn't add too much to this, anyway. Simple is always better when it comes to complicated science, and anything that a BEng can't understand on a Sunday afternoon is better left out.
That's a *brilliant* diagram!

'Denglish' is 'Deutsch-English', ie: it is ze wäi, like a Tschörmen wraits wenn trying to wrait in Inglisch Ai äm schuhr zer is samm left.
Yes, I don't mean to add anything more of the stuff because this is concentrated elsewhere in the project.
Yeah, ASCII art is all that is left to do when you need a graphic for something

Looks good to me, Bossel, not that I know anything about these things. There is hardly any evidence of Deutschglisch either. You might try 'coastal' instead of 'littoral', but 'littoral' is a perfectly good English word, it's just not used as commonly as 'coastal' (if that matters). In speech it is quasi-homophone with 'literal' but in writing that is not a problem.
No, your command of English here is excellent in my opinion, and leaves very little for a sub to do.

I have to say Bossel, having spoken with you assorted issues, I wasn't even aware you were German.

Yo Boss!
i fear scientific type entries but i have summoned up the blood and taken a peek at this.
i think you could do with a slightly longer intro.
Perhaps mentioning the *disadvantages* or dangers of *not* being able to use radar to see beyond the horizon. Helicopters getting hit by anti-aircraft cunningly placed behind a hill, for instance.
and some mention of *when* this problem was overcome...
i *did* get into the main text, but i won't be much help coz i don't know the appropriate jargon or specialist usage.
one thing: is 'shine' really the correct term for emitting radar waves?
this project looks great (though fearsome for a scientophobe like myself ); i'm gonna nick that link format at the bottom of the page for my Fr Rev project!

Thanks for all the praise, guys
I've added some more words to the intro section but kept the word 'littoral' because IMHO that's the jargon word.
Then, I elaborated extensively on the 'diffraction' physics (sorry Spiff ). However, I think I managed to keep it on a level that is accessible to *anyone* because there are beautiful sunsets on South Sea islands and s involved. I still regret that I can't use 'Bosselhiti' in an entry for the Edited Guide
